ChargeWest First Responder READY Training
GEORGE, Utah — ChargeWest™ First Responder Ready, led by Utah Clean Cities and Communities through the U.S. Department of Energy Transportation Technologies Office-supported ChargeWest™ initiative, is preparing a post-training media package for partner review following the National First Responder EV and Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Training, held June 3–5, 2026, at Dixie Technical College and the Fire and Public Safety Training Center in St. George, Utah.
After three years of preparation, the training brought together 80 participants from nine western states, including 65 trained first responders and 20 National Park Service fire chiefs and fire leaders representing seven national parks — from Yellowstone and Zion to Yosemite and Grand Canyon — and more than 40 gateway and rural communities across the West.
